1992
VALENCIA MANUTENCIÓN, SA was set up with its head office in Silla (Valencia), dedicated to forklift sales.
1996
VAMASA MAQUINARIA SERVICIO DE ASESORAMIENTO, SL was set up with its head office in Silla (Valencia), this time with new premises. The company's business model was focussed on equipment import, refurbishment and after-sales services. The forklift hire service was born, and the company purchased its first lifting platform to meet the demand to provide its customers with replacement machinery.
In the mid-1990s, Vamasa launched a major marketing campaign for lifting platforms in Valencia, timed perfectly to take advantage of the huge growth in the market at that point.
1997
The company purchased its first new lifting platform.
1999
Vamasa expanded its business to other communities, gradually opening branches in central and eastern areas.
2001
Vamasa S.L. was founded.
2002
A branch was opened in Muro de Alcoy, Alicante, Spain.
2004
The company celebrated its 10th anniversary with a major marketing campaign.
This year saw the lifting platform fleet surpass the 1000-unit mark.
2006
Business was booming for Vamasa. Thanks to its clear strategy of diversification and specialisation, and the best professionals, the company enjoyed an exponential growth. Vamasa recorded its highest ever invoicing figure of €30m.
The company created a new corporate identity and its plan included a clear objective for positioning: Specialisation.
2008
Spain entered its worst economic crisis to date – the housing bubble burst, the banking crisis hit, and unemployment rose to record highs. Despite these circumstances, Vamasa recorded its best figures for employment, equipment and branches.
Vamasa was awarded the Sales Innovation Management award by the Metallurgy Business Federation of Valencia (FEMEVAL), an organisation which brings together 4,200 companies and represents 48,000 workers.
2009
Vamasa Maquinaria entered into voluntary bankruptcy and disappeared to make way for a new company called Vamasa Tecnial.
Once again, Vamasa rose to the challenge of the difficulties faced by adapting and transforming; all this was possible thanks to the great team of professionals – past and present – who have been part of the company.
2012
Vamasa Tecnial S.L. was founded.
2016
Vamasa Tecnial S.L. was bought by the TVH Group, with head offices in Waregem, Belgium.
2017
The company acquired Service-car in Tarragona and opened a new branch in Zaragoza.
2018
Vamasa began the transition to its new corporate image, widely recognised around the world: mateco.
mateco acquires the company Ciaman.
2019
mateco acquires the company Afron.
2022
mateco acquires the company Elevaciones RAMA.
2023
mateco acquires the machinery rental and leasing section of Playser Elevación.
